ISME starts the year with the Executive meetings to be held in Anaheim, California, USA from 18-21 January, supported by the NAMM Foundation.
b) The “ISME Global Sonar Award” by the International Society for Music Education will be presented to NAMM by President Graham Welch. For further information see below and website links.
c) The SupportMusic Coalition will broadcast “LIVE’ from the NAMM Show and you are invited to tune in from anywhere. The webcast will be held on Friday January 20 at 2:00 PM PST.

5. Bonn Declaration
During the seminar in Bonn in May 2011 we examined how the UNESCO Seoul Agenda: Goals for the Development of Arts Education can be translated to the music sector in Europe. The Bonn Declaration reflects the three main goals of the agenda “Access”, “Quality” and “Social and Cultural Challenges” for music education in the European context and concludes with recommendations to political decision makers.

6. International Child Art Foundation
is a small 501©(3) non-profit organizatioon. ICAF has served as the
leading art and creativity organization for American children and their international counterparts since 1997 with the mission of bringing these children together to share their creativity with peace and compassion. Every four years, ICAF hosts a World Children’s Festival in which all winners of previous global competitions come together on the National Mall to share their culture and to create collaborative artwork as well as music. This is a video of the latter by MelodyStreet, an entertainment company designed to introduce children to the vast world of music.

g) RNCM Research Degree Programme in Music Psychology and Music Education
The RNCM is currently accepting applications for a variety of Postgraduate Research Studentships in Music Psychology and Music Education.
