During the seminar in Bonn in May 2011 we examined how the UNESCO Seoul Agenda: Goals for the Development of Arts Education can be translated to the music sector in Europe. The Bonn Declaration reflects the three main goals of the agenda “Access”, “Quality” and “Social and Cultural Challenges” for music education in the European context and concludes with recommendations to political decision makers.

Every four years, ICAF hosts a World Children’s Festival in which all winners of previous global competitions come together on the National Mall to share their culture and to create collaborative artwork as well as music. Contributions to Music Education seeks nominations for up to six new national and international members of the editorial review board. Duties begin July 1, 2012 and continue for a term of up to three-years. Nominees must be current or retired music teacher educators at the collegiate level. The RNCM is currently accepting applications for a variety of Postgraduate Research Studentships in Music Psychology and Music Education.
