Songs to Sing : Singing Songs

This workshop, comprised of two plenary sessions with Betty-Jo Christiani and Iwan Edwards, aims to demonstrate why singing is the ideal vehicle for teaching music in any situation: in the generalist or music classroom, during transitions between various activities, within the curriculum, in the instrumental classroom, to teach language, social skills, and math concepts and help children with disabilities. Target audience: All teachers (K- 11) generalist + specialists.

  1. I am very interested in a singing workshop with Iwan Edwards. Have followed Iwan Edwards work from the time I did my music degree at McGill, auditioning for him, watching him conducting the FACE choir which my daughter attended and other choirs in which students of mine participated.
    I have always admired his work
    Very happy about the opportunity to meet him and work with him.

    Hey all, welcome back!
    I cannot see the images on the page for the choral workshop. Perhaps my school board is blocking them?? (LBPSB)

      Yes, I already spoke to the Lester B. Pearson music consultant about this problem. He said that he would try and get the board to stop blocking the QMEA site. In the mean time check out our site elsewhere.
